On-site Ergonomic Workstation Assessments

Sitting in front of a computer screen for long periods can lead to pain and injury in the workplace. Workstation assessments are a requirement of Health and Safety regulations in the UK. Ensuring good workstation set-up and providing effective education can assist in the prevention and management of pain and injury in the workplace.

West End Physiotherapy offers a specialised service for companies interested in the welfare of their employees. We will come on-site and perform an Ergonomic Assessment that will include:

  • An indepth interview of employee to analyse any current dysfunctions
  • Ergonomic assessment of seating / desk / screen / mouse / phone / lighting / work environment / task management
  • Work risk assessment
  • Postural analysis
  • Postural training
  • Provide a comprehensive report outlining any suggested modifications / recommendations

Small changes in positioning of office equipment and posture can make a significant difference to the health of the muscles and joints. A simple On-site Ergonomic Assessment may be all that is needed to avoid loss of productivity through back and neck problems and/or repetitive strain injury (R.S.I.). A work station assessment can help to reduce absenteeism from work by providing information / simple changes to the work environment to help an individual remain or return to the workplace.

Ergonomic Workstation Assessments can prevent:

  • Repetitive Strain Injuries (R.S.I.)
  • Incidence of employees missing work or unable to do work
  • Back and neck pain
